Water leaking through the ceiling
Burst pipe, leak or flooding? Call and we'll connect you with a local water damage pro.

A brown stain, a sagging patch or water dripping from the ceiling means water is collecting above it, from a roof leak, a plumbing line, an air conditioning drain or a bathroom upstairs.
What to do now
- Move furniture and electronics out of the way and put a bucket under the drip.
- If the ceiling is bulging, stay out from under it. Wet drywall is heavy and can give way.
- Turn off light fixtures in the wet area at the breaker.
- Take photos before anything is moved or removed.
What happens next
A provider finds the source, removes wet ceiling material if needed, and dries the space above it, where insulation and framing can hold water long after the ceiling looks dry. If the source is the roof, you may also need a roofer.
What happens when you call
- You call the number on this page. A short automated assistant asks two or three questions, such as what's wrong and your ZIP code, so we can find the right provider.
- We connect your call to an independent water damage provider who serves your area.
- You talk with the provider directly about the problem, timing and price before any work starts.
Main Street Services doesn't charge you for the referral. The provider sets their own prices and does the work. Calls are recorded for quality and billing.
